The episode of WWE SmackDown began with discussing Thursday’s Press Conference, declaring his authority and confirming Roman Reigns would defend his title against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce discussed Seth Rollins's challenger at WrestleMania, determined through an Elimination Chamber match. They announce the list of 12 contenders who will compete in qualifying matches to enter the chamber. The first being McIntyre and Styles.

Later, Sami Zayn and Randy Orton competed in another qualifying match. Bayley addressed recent events involving her former stable, Damage CTRL, and was confronted by Dakota Kai. Their interaction ended ambiguously, leaving their alignment uncertain.

Bron Breakker and Triple H discussed Breakker's future, interrupted by Paul Heyman teasing a confrontation between Roman Reigns and The Rock next week.
Tyler Bate & Pete Dunne faced #DIY to see who would take on Judgement Day at the Elimination Chamber PLE.
